Happy Wednesday friends!! I am beyond excited to share my Charleston Travel guide. As many of you have seen on instagram, I spent a weekend in Charleston and absolutely fell in love with the colorful southern town. If you did follow along, you saw exactly what I fell in love with. With only a weekend in Charleston there is so much to see and do, so I am going to share with you my favorite parts of the trip.
Where to Stay
Honestly, Charleston hotels are expensive. We picked a busy weekend to travel to Charleston but we couldn’t even stay in a chain hotel for under $150 a night. We ended up finding the cutest little hostel within biking distance to the city. Notso Hostel had all the charm and character you would want from a stay in Charleston.
Where to Eat
Hands down, Charleston has some of the best food i’ve ever tasted. My top brunch recommendations are Poogan’s Porch and 82 Queen. The menu’s were amazing, the prices were fair and who wouldn’t want to eat a delicious brunch on a porch or in a secret garden! For dinner we ate at Fleet Landing to try out their local catch. This is a must try if you love seafood.
What to do
Absolutely rent bikes! The highlight of our trip was renting beach cruisers and exploring the city by pedal power. It makes it so much easier to get around the city and most of the roads are bike friendly. We had the best experience renting from Affordabike shop.
What to see
Historic rainbow row features a series of colorful homes, the longest cluster of Georgian style homes in the U.S.. Once you see these gorgeous homes you’ll know exactly how they got their name! The Battery is also the perfect spot to take in all the gorgeous harbor views! And perhaps one of the most recognizable landmarks of Charleston, the pineapple fountain at Waterfront park! Nothing says southern hospitality like pineapples!
I hope you enjoyed following along with my weekend in Charleston, SC. I really had the best time with my best gal! We came, we ate, we danced, we laughed and we conquered! Let me know if you have any questions about our trip and enjoy our full gallery below!
