What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Well not always! I am sharing a list of my top things to see and do while visiting Las Vegas. From the shows you must see to the food you need to try to believe Vegas has something for everyone! So here is my Las Vegas Travel Guide!
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…
Let me preface by saying as much as my girls trip to Vegas was to see and experience the city, my cousin Kate and I booked the trip solely with the goal of seeing the Backstreet Boys. In fact, we bought the tickets to the show before booking our flights or hotel. And if you didn’t know, they have a residency in Vegas through February so if you are as much of a fan girl as we are, you’ve still got time to see them. I mean, Backstreets back, am I right?! If you are interested in tickets, click here. Oh and we also went to Chippendales 😉
Where to Stay
We stayed at the Flamingo during our trip and it was a mix of classic Vegas glitz, an amazing pool atmosphere and affordability! The Flamingo also offers a pretty centralized location on the strip making it easy to get just about anywhere you want to go. The also have a pretty rocking pool party most weekends with a live dj, drinks and dancing. Although it does cost extra for admission to your own pool (which is a tad frustrating) they do bring in some pretty cool talent. NeYo hosted a pool party while we were there. Talk about a throw back. The flamingo also offers a wide variety of dining from its own cantina, steak resturant and all you can eat and drink brunch buffet that does not disappoint. Overall we were pleasantly surprised with the Flamingo.
BUT let me tell you about some of the other hotels on the strip! Being the amazing tourists we are we decided to go exploring some of the other hotels and they were unlike anything I have ever seen!
Cesars palace features fountains, indoor shopping and dining all serving up the classic roman ruins vibe. Paris literally has its very own Eiffel tower and inside the hotel is made to look like the streets of Paris. But my favorite of them all is the Venetian! What looks like it was taken right from Italy, the streets are windy, cobbled, lined with gelato stands AND there are gondola channels! You can literally take a gondola ride inside the hotel. I was in awe and am ready too book my trip to Italy after visiting the Venetian.
If you are looking for nightlife, the Cosmopolitan boasts one of the most unique bars i’ve ever seen. The chandelier bar, it just that. A bar in a chandelier! The pictures don’t do it justice but definitely try a cosmo while you visit. You won’t be disappointed. Nearly every hotel on the strip features its very own themed bar or nightclub so you really can’t go wrong.
Las Vegas is definitely an experience to say the least. They don’t call it sin city for no reason! And although it may not be everyones cup of tea, I am happy to check it off my bucket list and say “Viva Las Vegas”! Hope you enjoyed my Las Vegas Travel Guide!
