I’ve put off sharing all the details surrounding our wedding plans post COVID in the hopes that things would change and start to go our way. We’ve faced amazing highs and terrible lows these past few months as we hold onto the dream of our wedding day.
As many of you are already aware, our wedding was originally scheduled for April 11th 2020. On March 13th, we purchased our marriage license and things began to fall apart soon after than. By the end of that next week we were graciously given the opportunity to move our date with no penalty by our venue. We jumped at the opportunity and found a new date that worked for nearly all our vendors.
This new date was June 20th 2020. We knew there would be a risk picking a date so soon to our original but we wanted to hold onto any little bit of hope of having the spring wedding of our dreams. Unfortunately within the past few weeks and with the guidance of our governor and wedding planner, we made the decision to start looking into a plan c. At this point our options for new dates were limited without losing one of our key vendors.
In the end we opted for our plan c date of September 6th 2020. If you’ve followed along so far, this is our 3rd attempt at a wedding. We realize that even September could be a risk and still might not be the big day that we dreamed. But as of right now we are holding onto any hope left that we can have the most special day will all of our wonderful friends and family.
Our marriage license is now expired and we are continuing to enjoy the extended opportunity to plan our wedding and celebrate this engaged chapter of our lives. For everyone that has reached out and thought about us, we truly appreciate it. I am certain that if not for the amazing support from our friends, family and vendors we would not have been able to make it through these past few months.
Special thank you to our amazing vendors for their support and responsiveness during this time! If you are a bride looking for an amazing vendor to work with, we highly recommend the below!
