I’m not embarrassed to say that I put a lot of thought into my outfits for our wedding weekend. It was one of my favorite parts of the planning process and I loved getting to wear things I knew I would never be able to wear again. I went a little over the top with the white, but your only a bride once right?
The hours before guests come into town where such a whirlwind of running errands, last minute details and greeting family and friends. I wanted to look the part of the bride but still be casual enough to run around finalizing plans. My top is from Altar’d State and is crop and pairs perfect with high waisted jeans!
Originally planned as a much more casual event, when we were forced to scale back our wedding we opted for a more formal rehearsal dinner and everyone loved the opportunity to get dolled up and enjoy a seated dinner together catching up. My dress is from ASOS and while I’ve seen a few brides wear it as their wedding dress it worked out perfectly for our rehearsal dinner on a cooler night. Justin’s suit coat is from Belk and all the groomsmen wore them.
Morning of robes were a last minute purchase but I am so thankful for them. They were a perfect way to kick off the morning and I felt so luxurious to sweep across the room in my lace robe. Bridal, bridesmaid and mother of bride and groom robes were from Le Rose.
My wedding dress was designed by Martina Liana and purchased at the Coastal Knot in Wilmington. I had always dreamed about a dress with a beautiful floral lace and open back. I was open to a few silhouettes but I knew it was the dress for me when I called Justin in tears from the store knowing I loved this one and it was a bit over our budget. Of course all he wanted was for me to be happy, and the rest is history!
